I don't expect to hear from them, but it's a cool thought :)
Following on from the sad story about Britney Thomas, I would like to share with you the story of two theatre nurses from Geelong whose ‘Below Ten Thousand’ clinical team safety initiative has transcended international borders and is making inroads into improving patient safety, particularly in the UK.
As illustrated in a newly released book, ‘The Below Ten Thousand Way to a clinician led safety culture’, tragedies such as Britney’s may be avoided by the simplest and totally cost free solution on the market. It’s not impossible that two small town clinical nurses could change the world, but first, hospitals have to want to change. That’s the difficult part.
