I was looking for a SWAT analysis I did once on BTT, but found another one instead.
The interesting thing about the matrix I’d created was the idea of ‘coaching for success’.
The idea I was trying to convey was that ‘Below Ten Thousand’ provided opportunities for people to practice leadership.
Therefore a team leader in an operating theatre could ‘practice’ bringing the team together at times like Time Out, and their success by leading ‘Below Ten Thousand’ moments would give them the confidence to be proactive in other areas as well.
Nurse Leadership in the cutting environment of the operating theatre means sticking your neck out, and I would suggest ‘Below Ten Thousand’ allows leaders to stick their necks out safely and establish a trending expectation towards safety and quality overall.
